## Description

Alison Davey is an internationally renowned expert in British Art Pottery. As the Founder and Managing Director of AD Antiques, she collaborates with collectors, museums, interior designers, and investors globally. Alison's journey in the arts began unexpectedly, as she initially pursued a career in Criminal Justice after graduating from Edinburgh University. However, her interest in the decorative arts grew, and she started trading at car boot sales. This passion eventually led her to establish AD Antiques in 1997. While the business initially dealt with various decorative arts, Alison developed a keen focus on British Art Pottery. She was captivated not only by the ceramics' aesthetic quality and originality but also by the social and political dimensions that inspired manufacturers during that era. Taking her business to new heights, Alison stepped up from showground fairs to the vetted fair circuit, building her reputation and client base. Today, based in the North Cotswolds, Alison collaborates with museums, contributes to television programs like Antiques Roadshow, and writes for specialist magazines and journals. With her unwavering commitment to research, integrity, and due diligence, Alison has become synonymous with the finest British Art Pottery. AD Antiques is a testament to her passion and expertise in the field.
