Founded in August 2013, the Addiction Research Foundation is dedicated to conducting and supporting research that enhances treatment outcomes for individuals struggling with substance abuse disorders. By analyzing the experiences of treated populations retrospectively and conducting prospective and longitudinal studies, the foundation endeavors to uncover effective strategies for addiction treatment. Additionally, they develop and test new assessment tools and publish and disseminate relevant findings.

To better understand the diverse needs of different individuals, the Addiction Research Foundation invites participation in a short survey. The survey aims to identify the changes in habits and activities that have contributed to improving overall quality of life for people in recovery. By completing the survey, participants can contribute valuable insights to help shape future approaches to addiction treatment.

The foundation prioritizes maintaining its independence by refusing donations or support from the addiction treatment and pharmaceutical industries, as well as related associations.
