About

Description

Adelante Mujeres is a nonprofit organization founded in 2002 by Bridget Cooke, Sister Barbara Raymond, and a group of 15 Latine mothers. Their mission is to provide holistic education and empowerment opportunities to marginalized Latine women and families in Oregon, ensuring their full participation and active leadership in the community. Recognizing the underrepresentation of Latine voices in decision-making roles, Adelante Mujeres aims to empower women and girls through programs designed to meet their specific needs.

With a staff that is more than 80% Latine, including former program participants, the organization maintains deep roots within the community it serves. Adelante Mujeres values empowerment, quality education, and enterprise. They believe in each individual's capacity for growth, advocate for access to education, and promote self and collective initiative, innovation, and integrity.

The organization's microenterprise programs foster sustainable economies that benefit the entire community. Join Adelante Mujeres in their mission to create a thriving community where all families can thrive. Get involved by volunteering, supporting their business partnerships, or joining their team.
