## Description

AdmiNet is an archived online information portal created by Christian Scherer and preserved in its original state. First established in 1995, the site describes its mission as spreading information around the world. Its directory brings together useful resources from 213 countries, with sections covering the European Union, Africa, national and local sites, and a range of practical topics. Visitors can find links related to literacy, government, legal resources, automobiles, news, television and radio, entertainment, job searches, and Yellow Pages. The portal also features French-language and Francophone resources, including links to publications and public information services, alongside AdmiNet.TV and memorial pages. Content is presented in multiple languages, including English, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Spanish, Russian, Japanese, Chinese, and Arabic. AdmiNet lists mirror sites, partners, a blog, a forum, and options to search, submit a URL, or provide feedback. The website is maintained as an archive and is hosted by OVH; its displayed content was last updated in January 2017.
