## Description

Adrift Lab is a research cooperative focused on seabirds, marine plastics, and the wider effects of pollution in ocean ecosystems. Its work examines how plastic and associated chemicals affect wildlife, using long-term research to document consequences and build evidence that can inform marine and waste policy. The group aims to communicate its findings clearly and encourage positive change at both individual and community levels, for the benefit of the oceans.

Adrift Lab shares its research through publications, news, media, and public engagement, and connects science with art and community participation. It coordinates citizen science submissions for seabird data, including reports of beached birds and records of banded masked boobies on Pitcairn Island. The lab also invites people and organisations to get involved, partner with its work, and support its research.

With a team of researchers and 150 publications, Adrift Lab investigates how pollution affects marine life and ecosystems. Its long-term perspective helps identify patterns and communicate why evidence-based action matters.
