## Description

Advice Slip is a lighthearted online project that offers visitors a randomly generated “advice slip” on demand. Its simple experience invites users to request advice, then presents a short response they can take away, share, or treat as a playful prompt. The site also provides options to tweet or pin an advice slip, making the brief messages easy to pass along. Created by Tom Kiss, Advice Slip was inspired by the disappointment of cash machines that appear conversational but offer no genuinely useful advice, instead displaying routine information about bank accounts. The project turns that idea into a small, humorous alternative: advice delivered when asked, without claiming to provide professional guidance. In addition to the website, Advice Slip offers an API for developers who want to access its advice content in other projects. The original site credits Slim, Sublime Text 2, Compass, and SASS among the tools used to build it, and acknowledges audio recorded by @kcmyoung.
