## Description

Aegean Arts Circle (AAC) organizes small, intensive writing workshops and writing retreats on the Greek island of Andros. Founded there more than 20 years ago, the program welcomes published and aspiring writers from around the world who want to develop their work in an inspiring setting alongside a community of fellow writers. Andros, a quiet Cycladic island, offers space to step away from everyday routines and focus on writing.

AAC workshops are led by award-winning instructors and are designed for writers working in fiction, creative nonfiction, and poetry. The 2026 program includes a 10-day workshop with writer, poet, editor, and instructor Kristina Marie Darling; applicants must provide a writing sample or, if they do not have one, a letter of intent. Space is limited.

For participants seeking more independent writing time, AAC also offers three retreat options lasting three, five, or seven days. The organization is a member of the Association of Writers & Writing Programs (AWP).
