## Description

Inspired by the protective shield of Athena, the company offers a mobile app designed to help users request assistance when they are in danger or unable to speak. With two taps, users can place an SOS alert and establish a non-verbal connection to 911.

The app is designed to share important information with responders, including the user’s location, medical details, emergency information, and audio or video recordings. This aims to help first responders understand the situation before they arrive, so users do not have to explain everything during an emergency. aegis positions its service as a practical, accessible option for silent or abandoned emergency calls and other situations where speaking may not be possible.

The brand’s mission is to make personal safety more proactive and seamless for individuals. aegis is based in Chicago, and its services are available only in the United States.
