## Description

AÉHMO, the Association for the Study of the History of the Workers’ Movement, is a Swiss organization dedicated to making the political and social history of the workers’ movement better known. Based in Lausanne, it preserves and studies historical documents, and invites individuals and organizations to contribute archives for safekeeping and research. Its collections include testimony, election posters, and materials relating to the Vaud branch of the public-service union VPOD and the history of psychiatry.

The association shares its work through the Cahiers d’histoire du mouvement ouvrier, books, and other publications. These explore subjects such as workers’ experiences, political struggles, racism, xenophobia, and the history and identity of the labor movement. Readers can browse publication information and order books through the organization. AÉHMO also presents archival resources, hosts events and book launches, and issues calls for contributions. Membership and a newsletter offer ways to stay connected with its activities, conferences, and publications.
