## Description

The Asahi Glass Foundation is a Japanese public-interest foundation established in 1933 to help create a society and civilization in which humanity can enjoy genuine well-being. Its work focuses on environmental sustainability, research, education, and nurturing future talent. The foundation presents the Blue Planet Prize to honor people who have contributed to solving global environmental problems, and shares related interviews, lectures, educational materials, and recommendations. Through its awareness and education programs, it supports opportunities for younger generations to learn about environmental issues and take action. Its research grant programs fund work in the natural sciences and research addressing social challenges, with domestic and overseas grants, presentations, and published results. The foundation also provides non-repayable scholarships, mentoring, and exchange opportunities for outstanding graduate students. In addition, it conducts surveys on global environmental problems and human survival, publishes an annual reading from its Environmental Doomsday Clock, and studies environmental awareness among the Japanese public. Its website offers reports, publications, educational resources, program updates, and information for applicants, researchers, and scholarship recipients.
