## Description

The Architecture Foundation of Oregon (AFO) is a renowned organization dedicated to promoting and advancing the field of architecture in Oregon. They offer a wide range of programs and services that aim to inspire, engage, and educate individuals and communities. One of their flagship programs is Architects in Schools, which brings architects into classrooms to teach students about the design process and its impact on the built environment. This program helps foster creativity and critical thinking skills among young learners. AFO also offers various scholarships and fellowships for art and architecture students, including the Tsagaglalal (She Who Watches) Scholarship, which supports Native art and architecture students. They strive to provide opportunities for underrepresented communities and uplift minority voices in the field of architecture. In addition to their educational initiatives, AFO hosts a variety of events, such as the Dine & Design series and the Honored Citizen Dinner, which convene dynamic conversations and celebrate the achievements of influential figures in the architectural community. By joining AFO, individuals can support their mission and contribute to the development of Oregon's architectural landscape. Donations and subscriptions to their newsletter are also ways to show support for their work.
