## Description

Afasiföreningen i Gävleborg is a regional association providing information and support related to aphasia across Gävleborg County, Sweden. Its website brings together resources for people with aphasia, their relatives and others interested in the condition, including information about rehabilitation, cognition and brain fatigue, as well as reading materials and research. The association also shares news, courses and events, and promotes opportunities for people affected by aphasia to meet and take part in local activities.

Its network includes local associations in Bollnäs-Ovanåker, Gävle, Hudiksvall-Nordanstig and Sandviken. Through these groups and the Mötesplats Afasi meeting places, members can connect with others, participate in activities and engage with their local community. The site provides updates on local programmes, association meetings and Aphasia Day, alongside information about the organisation’s board, membership and partnerships. Afasiföreningen i Gävleborg also advocates for continued support for aphasia-related activities, including campaigning to preserve Mötesplats Afasi services across the region.
