## Description

The Alberta Female Hockey League (AFHL) is a competitive hockey league serving female players in Alberta. Its elite divisions include U13 AA, U15 AA, U18 AA and U18 AAA, providing organized competition across multiple age groups and levels. The league’s website is a central resource for players, families, team staff and associations, with season information, news, awards, player-of-the-month features and post-secondary commitments.

The AFHL also shares practical guidance and administrative resources to support participation. These include tryout information, player waiver and movement forms, game-change requests, suspension deferral requests, exhibition and travel forms, and discipline summaries. Team staff can access a handbook, while associations can find host contacts and related resources. The site also highlights where to watch, league policies and procedures, and links to Hockey Alberta programs and information.

By communicating expectations and outlining player pathways, the AFHL helps participants navigate elite female hockey in Alberta. Its materials emphasize respectful, inclusive play and provide guidance for players who are not selected at a tryout, including options for another tryout or non-elite hockey.
