## Description

The School of Applied Functional Medicine™ (SAFM), founded in 2011 by Tracy Harrison, MS, is a leader in transforming health care by equipping practitioners with the advanced knowledge and skills necessary for effective functional medicine practice. With chronic diseases reaching epidemic levels globally, SAFM addresses the urgent need for a new standard of care focused on prevention and root cause resolution, rather than just symptom management.

SAFM offers an ACCME-accredited certification program that educates licensed healthcare professionals—including physicians, nurses, and health coaches—on the evidence-based causes of chronic lifestyle-driven diseases. The curriculum emphasizes patient-centered care, practical application of functional medicine principles, and effective coaching techniques to promote lasting lifestyle changes.

Through the integration of allopathic medicine with functional approaches, SAFM empowers practitioners to offer comprehensive and sustainable solutions for their patients. The program, backed by a Scientific Review Council, ensures the highest quality education for those committed to improving health outcomes in today's complex healthcare landscape.
