## Description

Africa50 is a pan-African infrastructure investment platform and asset manager established to help close the continent’s infrastructure funding gap and support economic growth. It develops investment-ready projects, brings together public and private sector funding from within and outside Africa, and invests equity and quasi-equity alongside strategic partners. Its work spans project development and investment across infrastructure sectors, with a focus on bankable projects that can deliver financial returns and meaningful impact.

Africa50 manages three funds and reports investments in projects across African countries, with an aggregated project value of more than US$8 billion. Its portfolio includes initiatives such as Kigali Innovation City in Rwanda, a planned mixed-use development intended to support talent and technology innovation. The platform also shares project stories through its Impact Series and makes impact and climate considerations central to its investment decisions. Africa50 publishes sustainability and ESG information and supports infrastructure development through activities including project procurement. Through these efforts, it aims to accelerate sustainable infrastructure delivery and mobilize capital for projects across Africa.
