Africa in the Moot is a brand dedicated to unlocking the potential of international commercial arbitration in Africa. We offer a range of products and services to support African teams participating in the Willem C. Vis Moot Court competition. Our world-class coaching and support system is designed to assist teams in familiarizing themselves with the rules of international commercial arbitration. We work with a network of experienced coaches who provide valuable guidance and remote support to African teams. In addition, we facilitate practice sessions where participants can improve their oral arguments and receive feedback from former participants and practitioners. We also provide practical guidance and on-the-ground support when teams travel to Vienna or Hong Kong for the competition. We believe in open access to academic resources and collaborate with universities to provide students with the necessary materials. Furthermore, we strive to match African teams with sponsors to help cover the costs associated with participating in the competition. Africa in the Moot also fosters a sense of community, offering a platform for participants to stay connected with their peers throughout Africa and beyond.
