The African Arbitration Association (AfAA) is a non-profit private sector-led association that serves as the continental promotional body for international arbitration and other forms of international dispute resolution. Comprising a General Assembly, a Board of Directors, and a Secretariat, the AfAA is led by qualified African International Arbitration Scholars and Practitioners who provide strategic direction and guidance. The association's mission is to support the ongoing development of international arbitration in Africa, while also showcasing the international prominence of its members and their activities in international arbitration and international dispute resolution. Additionally, the AfAA serves as a valuable source of information on arbitrating in Africa, offering resources such as the African Arbitration Atlas and publications on arbitration and ADR in Africa.
