Welcome to Africanbatconserv! We are a brand dedicated to the conservation of bats in Africa, with a particular focus on Malawi. Malawi is not only recognized for its high endemism and species diversity but also faces significant challenges such as increasing agricultural pressures and deforestation, which negatively impact bat populations.

We have already made significant discoveries, including a new bat species for Malawi and two other species that are rarely found in southern Africa.

Our website provides detailed species profiles for various bat families found in Malawi, including Emballonuridae, Hipposideridae, Mollosidae, Vespertilionidae, and more. Each profile highlights key features and characteristics of the bats, enhancing our understanding of these fascinating creatures.
