African Brain Child is a clinical and research initiative based at the Paediatric Neurosurgery Unit at Red Cross War Memorial Children’s Hospital and the University of Cape Town’s Neuroscience Institute. With a focus on pediatric brain health, we blend the best of clinical and basic sciences through our dedicated team of surgeons and scientists. Our vision is to create an Africa where children with brain-related conditions can reach their full potential. Through innovative research, advocacy, and cutting-edge clinical care, we aim to change lives and improve outcomes for children across the world. Our mission involves interdisciplinary, translational research to deepen our understanding of the brain's response to various stimuli.
