## Description

African Wildlife Vets is a South African non-profit organisation dedicated to protecting and saving wildlife through veterinary care. It supports conservation organisations and protected areas by providing essential veterinary services, particularly where limited resources have created a shortfall in field support. Founded by Dr Dave Cooper, Dr Pete Goodman and Kate Church, the organisation works to help conserve threatened species amid challenges including habitat loss, human-wildlife conflict and disease.

Its work includes treating wildlife and providing veterinary attention to animals in conservation settings. African Wildlife Vets also offers Impact Safaris, giving visitors an opportunity to experience its work in the field and engage with its mission in an ethical way. The organisation notes that it does not provide internships or student placements.

Supporters can contribute through donations, explore a wishlist, sign up for the newsletter or review the annual report. African Wildlife Vets is registered as a Non-Profit Organisation and Public Benefit Organisation in South Africa; donations may qualify for a Section 18A tax certificate.
