Afrodevelopment is a virtual think tank that aims to advance policy, practice, and research on human development in Africa. Combining the intentions of a think tank, research center, and consultancy, Afrodevelopment focuses on addressing critical problems and under-studied policy areas to promote pro-poor policy issues. As a brand, our scope encompasses all aspects of development, in alignment with the Sustainable Development Goals. Our unique ideology emphasizes Africa as a key reference point in its journey towards development. We strive to prioritize the concerns, priorities, culture, and experiences of African people, ensuring that development efforts align with their needs. By emphasizing the stories and perspectives of Africans and subverting academic and political agendas, we believe we can foster more meaningful and impactful development. Within our work, we engage in various activities. First, we conduct research on current development issues in Africa. Second, we disseminate communication products that promote development best practices. Finally, we provide policy advice aimed at eliminating poverty. Funding, endowments, and consultancy services contribute to our pursuit of these goals. We are open to partnering with other think tanks, research centers, and multilateral development agencies, both within Africa and globally. By sharing opinions and ideas, we aim to create a collaborative network of like-minded organizations working towards a common goal.
