## Description

The Autism Family Support Association (AFSA) is a dedicated community-based volunteer organization in Victoria, Australia, focused on supporting families with members on the Autism Spectrum. Founded by parents, AFSA aims to amplify the voices of those with Severe and Profound Autism (SPA) and their families by engaging with state and federal policymakers to improve services and outcomes. The association provides a wealth of contemporary, evidence-based resources and information to its members through its engaging website and active social media presence.

AFSA facilitates networking opportunities and support services, ensuring that the experiences and needs of autistic individuals and their families are represented in policy discussions. The association regularly organizes informative events, including upcoming presentations from key disability organizations. Managed by a committed team of volunteers, AFSA encourages parents, carers, and advocates to join their committee to help strengthen its mission. By fostering collaboration with like-minded organizations, AFSA continues to raise awareness and understanding of Autism Spectrum Disorder within the broader community.
