## Description

The AG Geschichte des Georgius-Agricola-Gymnasiums Glauchau is a registered association dedicated to the exploration and preservation of Saxon local history. This organization engages students and community members in various historical projects, emphasizing education through hands-on experiences. Among their notable programs is the annual practical internship at the historic Döben castle ruin, where participants actively engage in maintenance and research efforts, learning about the rich history of the region.

In addition to practical undertakings, AG Geschichte hosts a range of events, including exhibits in the smallest museum located within a former military complex. Their efforts have been recognized with awards for projects such as “PEGASUS – Schools Adopt Monuments,” highlighting their commitment to sustainable heritage conservation.

The association also produces a yearly calendar featuring historical views of Glauchau, encouraging an appreciation of the past while fostering a sense of community. With a focus on education, historical preservation, and local engagement, AG Geschichte serves as a vital resource for both students and history enthusiasts in Saxony.
