The Australian Gas Association (AGA) is a not-for-profit, membership-based industry association serving the Australian community since 1925. Its work focuses on public safety, technical standards, energy efficiency, training and the development of renewable energy technologies. AGA is accredited by JAS-ANZ, NATA and ASQA, and is recognised by government regulatory authorities for gas and water products.

AGA provides certification for gas appliances, WaterMark plumbing products, cylinders, pressure vessels and cylinder test stations. Its NATA-accredited laboratories in Melbourne and Sydney test gas and hydrogen products, whitegoods, appliances, pipes, fittings and other materials. Renewable energy services include hydrogen testing, gas blending, sample analysis and technical support for projects. AGA also provides independent Type B certification for industrial gas installations in New South Wales and South Australia.

Through its Melbourne training facility, AGA delivers nationally accredited courses covering Type B gas appliances, flue installation and low-voltage electrical disconnection, reconnection and fault finding. Its Listed Gas Fitter Scheme offers licensed Australian gasfitters AGA membership and permission to use the AGA logo.
