## Description

The Association de Généalogie des Hautes-Alpes (AGHA) is dedicated to genealogical research and the preservation of historical records within the Hautes-Alpes region. As a member-oriented organization, AGHA provides numerous resources for genealogy enthusiasts, including access to vital records dating back to 1793, church registers, and civil status documents. They maintain a comprehensive genealogical database, GeneaBank, making it easier for individuals to trace their lineage.

AGHA also offers practical support through regular genealogy meetings in Briançon, where individuals of all experience levels can participate and learn. With events such as Saturday permanences and contributions to European Heritage Days, the association fosters a strong community connection.

In partnership with the Archives Départementales des Hautes-Alpes, AGHA ensures that members have access to vital genealogical tools and tutorials, guiding beginners through the complexities of family history research. The annual membership fee is a nominal €22, making it accessible for anyone interested in uncovering their familial roots.
