## Description

AgriDataSpace is a European project working to pave the way for a secure, trusted and responsible data space for agriculture. It aims to make agricultural data easier to share, process and analyse while supporting transparency, data sovereignty and the responsible use of information. The project brings together experts from research institutes, agricultural data intermediaries and industry associations across 10 countries, drawing on their experience within the EU data space ecosystem.

AgriDataSpace maps existing agricultural data-sharing initiatives and assesses governance approaches, business models and relevant legislation. Its work includes exploring technical enablers, developing a conceptual reference architecture and technology canvas, and engaging stakeholders to evaluate proposals and build broad consensus. Project outcomes include an inventory of data-sharing platforms, design and governance recommendations, potential business models, and a roadmap for phased implementation. The initiative also examines public and private datasets that could contribute to the data space’s objectives. Through these resources and collaborative activities, AgriDataSpace seeks to create opportunities for data-driven innovation, improve monitoring and optimisation of natural resource use, and support the digital transformation of European agriculture.
