## Description

The International Agri-Food Network (IAFN) was established in 1996 as a global coalition of international trade associations in the agri-food sector. Serving as a liaison between member organizations and international bodies, IAFN plays a pivotal role in promoting collaboration in the agri-food chain worldwide. The network coordinates the Private Sector Mechanism (PSM) at the Committee on World Food Security (CFS) and is part of the Global Business Alliance for Sustainable Development by 2030. Emphasizing five key principles, IAFN aims to harness agriculture for development, nurture entrepreneurship, enhance research, and foster partnerships. With eighteen international organizations and thousands of companies under its umbrella, IAFN represents millions of farmers and SMEs globally. As an open platform, IAFN welcomes business associations and national farmer organizations to join its efforts in addressing global poverty and food security.
