## Description

The African Growth and Development Policy Modeling Consortium (AGRODEP) is a pivotal initiative established in 2010 under the leadership of AKADEMIYA2063. AGRODEP empowers a network of Africa-based experts to take a central role in addressing strategic development and agricultural growth challenges across the continent. The consortium offers essential services, including access to advanced economic modeling tools, a comprehensive database platform, and training opportunities, which are designed to enhance research capacities and facilitate collaboration among local and international researchers.

AGRODEP's core objectives revolve around promoting high-quality, locally relevant research, supporting the Comprehensive Africa Agriculture Development Programme (CAADP), and bridging data gaps to enrich policy analysis. The consortium features a shared modeling infrastructure covering diverse topics from agricultural growth to climate change, and fosters a dynamic community of practitioners for knowledge exchange and capacity building. By facilitating access to crucial data and promoting collaboration, AGRODEP strives to elevate the discourse on Africa’s development strategies and agricultural policies.
