## Description

Agro-Invest, formally the Agro-Investment Corporation, is Jamaica’s agribusiness agency, working to strengthen the agricultural sector and support the country’s sustainable socio-economic development. Its approach is stakeholder-centric, market-driven and focused on technology, with a mission to mobilize finance, promote investment and provide access to land, infrastructure, market intelligence and business support.

The agency helps investors and entrepreneurs develop agricultural ventures through business planning and counseling, investment facilitation, project development, investor identification and partnership support. Its services include agricultural land sourcing, development, matching and leasing; on-farm technical and tractor services; market linkages; investment profiles for crops; and assistance in accessing external funding. Agro-Invest also develops and supports agro parks, production zones, processing facilities, warehouses and packing houses, including warehouse and office rentals at its AMC Complex.

In addition, the corporation manages state-owned agricultural properties and fixed assets, incubates projects until they are sustainable, and supports initiatives such as pasture development and youth land distribution.
