## Description

Melissa Quaal is a multi-talented business owner, sewing instructor, and creativity advocate. She is also the proud owner of The Espadrilles Kits, a popular DIY shoe kit company that sells worldwide. With her passion for sewing, Melissa has brought the joy of making to students all across the country. Her work has been recognized and featured in various magazines, online platforms, and podcasts such as Uppercase, Spoonflower, and Craft Industry Alliance. In addition to her business endeavors, Melissa is a strong believer in social justice and sustainable fashion. Since 2014, she has only purchased thrifted or handmade clothes, actively avoiding new garments to counter the negative impacts of fast fashion. Her mindful wardrobe project serves as a personal effort to promote eco-consciousness and challenge the wastefulness of the fashion industry. Melissa believes that everyone has the power to build a more mindful wardrobe. She offers workshops and collaborations for individuals and groups who are interested in tapping into their creative potential and making their own unique clothing items. Join Melissa on her journey to create a mindful wardrobe and embrace the power of sustainable fashion.
