## Description

American Home Finding Association (AHFA) is a private, nonprofit, nonsectarian organization dedicated to improving the quality of life for children and families. Founded in July 1899 by three local businesspeople concerned about the well-being of young women and children, AHFA has a long history of providing support and care in its community. Its mission is to offer exceptional services that nurture children and strengthen families.

AHFA serves people at different stages of life through programs for infants and toddlers, children, teens and young adults, families, and communities. Its services include adoption, WIC, breastfeeding peer counseling, child care, and Care for Kids. Programs for young people include PREP, aftercare, AMP, a group home, emergency shelter, a teen health center, and teen pregnancy prevention and tracking services. AHFA also offers the 1st Five program, maternal and child health services, and a Foster Grandparent Program. The organization invites community members to support its work through donations, helping sustain professional, compassionate services for women, children, and families facing economic challenges and family concerns.
