## Description

Advancing a Healthier Wisconsin Endowment (AHW) is a health-focused endowment of the Medical College of Wisconsin, based in Milwaukee. It supports researchers, organizations, and communities working to improve the health of people across Wisconsin. Through grants and other resources, AHW invests in public and community health improvement, health workforce education and development, and health-focused research.

Its funding programs include Momentum Grants, which invite eligible Medical College of Wisconsin faculty and community organizations to apply for support for research, health improvement, and workforce development projects. AHW also offers grant guidance, application tips, reviewer opportunities, and a map of funded projects and their community impact. Its 2024–2028 Landmark Initiatives commit $50 million to collaborative efforts addressing hypertension control, childhood behavioral health, and health workforce well-being. Additional programs and resources include National Academy of Medicine fellowships, technical assistance through Catchafire, and opportunities to connect through events and Coffee Conversations with Scientists. AHW shares funding announcements, project updates, and health-related news through its website and blog.
