## Description

AIC Trentino is the Trentino branch of the Italian Celiac Association, supporting people with celiac disease and promoting safe, informed gluten-free practices across the province. Based in Trento, the association provides information and practical guidance on diagnosis, diet, healthcare exemptions, local regulations, and the quarterly contribution available for eligible gluten-free staple products. Its Alimentazione Fuori Casa (AFC) project trains and monitors restaurants and other venues, helping them prepare gluten-free meals while preventing cross-contamination. AIC Trentino also shares directories of participating eateries, takeaway and delivery options, and gluten-free shopping locations, and offers an Albo Cuochi listing trained professionals available to cook in clients’ homes. The organisation runs events and educational initiatives, including activities for children and schools, and supports volunteers, members, and people newly diagnosed with celiac disease. It works to raise awareness among the public and food-service providers, encourages scientific research, and advocates for stronger protections through institutions. Members can access resources, news, courses, and opportunities to report concerns about meals in restaurants or canteens.
