## Description

Assistência Infantil da Freguesia de Santa Isabel (AIFSI) is an educational institution in Lisbon, directed by the Franciscan Missionaries of Mary. Guided by Franciscan values of love, peace and solidarity, AIFSI aims to support children’s overall development in a welcoming environment grounded in human values. Its approach combines dedicated educational teams with close partnerships with families, creating affectionate, engaging spaces where children can learn and grow with confidence, joy and a sense of purpose.

AIFSI offers three services for different stages of childhood: nursery care for early learning and development, preschool education focused on discovery, creativity and preparation for life, and a leisure-time activity centre (CATL) with activities that encourage social, emotional and intellectual growth. Each setting is shaped around children’s ages, needs and individual rhythms. The institution presents education as a way to help children flourish and contribute to the future. Based at Rua do Patrocínio, 3, in Lisbon, AIFSI also invites community support through Portugal’s tax-designation scheme, where individuals may direct 1% of their IRS tax to the institution at no cost.
