## Description

AIGNITRON is an Ottawa-based AI infrastructure company founded in 2025, developing a local-first control plane for routing AI workloads across local devices, edge environments, private enterprise systems, and cloud providers. Its aim is to help organizations choose where each request should run based on capability, policy, privacy, context, and consent, rather than defaulting to public cloud.

The platform’s core product, IgnisPrompt, evaluates and routes requests, normalizes familiar interfaces such as OpenAI-, Claude-, Gemini-, and MCP-compatible APIs, and provides policy gates and audit-ready decision metadata. It is designed to support local models, private runtimes, enterprise gateways, and cloud services when permitted. Aethra is the observability layer, making route explanations, data boundaries, capabilities, cost, latency, and methodology-labelled impact signals easier to review.

AIGNITRON also addresses avoidable interaction overhead, including repeated context and correction loops, as an infrastructure-efficiency challenge rather than a user failing. Its open-source core and privacy-first approach are intended to give developers, operators, and governance teams greater visibility and control over AI deployment decisions.
