# Aikido Kenkyukai Praha - **Website:** - **Primary alias:** `aikido-kenkyukai-praha.cz` ## Description Aikido Kenkyukai Praha (AKP) is a martial arts school in Prague’s Žižkov district, with more than forty years of experience teaching Japanese disciplines. Its main focus is aikidó, practiced as a path to the harmonious development of mind and body and open to people of all ages and genders. The school also offers training in Shintō Musō-ryū jōdō and Kashima Shin-ryū kenjutsu. Led by Miroslav Kodym, a 7th dan Aikikai instructor, AKP welcomes new students throughout the year and holds classes from Monday to Friday at its dojo. Training is supported by additional instructors holding 3rd and 4th dan Aikikai ranks. AKP is a founding member of the Czech Aikido Association, recognized by the Aikikai Foundation in Japan and affiliated with the International Aikido Federation. Alongside regular classes, the school organizes aikidó seminars and provides information about its dojo, instructors, clubs, and training.
