## Description

Aïkido Club du Mans is a martial arts club based at the Complexe sportif Champ-long in Le Mans, France. It introduces students to aikido, a Japanese martial art centered on peace, non-opposition, and the principle of using an attacker’s movement rather than meeting force with force. Training focuses on guiding an attack into imbalance, then applying a projection or immobilization. The club emphasizes personal development and self-mastery rather than competition.

Classes are available for young people, adolescents, and adults, from beginners to experienced practitioners. Children can start from age nine, with a dedicated session on Wednesday afternoons. Adolescent and adult classes meet on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday evenings; Monday training is reserved for experienced aikidoka, while Tuesday and Thursday welcome all levels. The club’s teaching team includes Alexia Houette and Patrice Roux, both fourth-dan instructors. Alongside its regular classes, Aïkido Club du Mans provides information for prospective members, a practitioner’s guide, club news, and photo and video galleries. The training venue is accessible by local bus and tram.
