## Description

Aikido Auckland Seishinkan is a welcoming dojo in Sandringham, Auckland, teaching Iwama Aikido to adults, teenagers and children. The practice is presented as more than martial arts or self-defence: it offers a way to develop physical capability, mental focus and personal resilience through training. Classes can help practitioners build strength, fitness, flexibility, balance, coordination and endurance, while cultivating confidence, awareness, calm and adaptability. The dojo welcomes people of varied ages, backgrounds and experience levels; no previous skill is required to begin.

Seishinkan offers a four-week adult beginners course and specialised introductory classes for children aged 7 to 12, including a free children’s class. Its programme includes an extensive timetable of Aikido classes, as well as workshops, intensive training sessions, guest-teacher events and trips to Japan. The dojo also shares learning resources, including a glossary, jo suburi names, grading requirements and videos. Through partnered practice and a supportive community, Aikido Auckland Seishinkan aims to make training enjoyable and enriching for everyday life.
