## Description

The Portuguese Image Association (AIP) is a professional organization dedicated to the art and craft of cinematography in Portugal. Founded on 2 June 1998, it brings together image professionals and supports the recognition, development, and ethical practice of cinematography across cinema and television. AIP shares information about its history, statutes, professional ethics, and the responsibilities of directors of photography, while providing guidance for people interested in becoming members. Its community includes associate, honorary, and benefactor members, as well as a space to remember members who have passed away.

AIP promotes the work of cinematographers through project features, professional news, and awards, including a career prize. It also offers courses and masterclasses and develops partnerships with organizations and initiatives in film education, exhibitions, and sustainability. Through these activities, the association connects practitioners, encourages professional exchange, and highlights the artistic and technical contribution of cinematographers to Portuguese audiovisual culture. News, event information, partnership announcements, and updates are available through its website and social media channels.
