## Description

AIPD Nazionale, established in 1979, is a dedicated organization that champions the rights and well-being of individuals with Down syndrome in Italy. With a commitment to enhancing the quality of life for those affected by this genetic condition, AIPD provides a wide range of services including support for education, health, autonomy, and employment. They focus on fostering social inclusion and empowering individuals to contribute positively to society, challenging outdated stereotypes and encouraging a view of those with Down syndrome as valuable resources. AIPD also engages in national events, educational initiatives, and research projects aimed at improving public awareness and understanding of Down syndrome. Their successful projects have led to significant employment opportunities for individuals with Down syndrome, as well as critical dialogues surrounding disability rights and support services. By promoting community engagement and continuous dialogue, AIPD seeks to create a more inclusive environment for everyone, while actively supporting families and caregivers through various resources and training programs.
