## Description

AIPD Latina is the Latina section of the Italian Association of People with Down Syndrome, a community-based nonprofit association working to support people with Down syndrome and their families. For more than ten years, it has promoted inclusion and equal opportunities, accompanying people through different stages of life, from childhood to adulthood. Its work focuses on educational, social and workplace integration, with activities designed to encourage participation and independence. The association offers social and school services and develops cultural, educational, sports, recreational and play-based initiatives. It also aims to connect families with psychological support and opportunities to share experiences, and to provide information and assistance to families encountering Trisomy 21 through collaboration with healthcare professionals. AIPD Latina works to raise awareness among local employers and, where employment opportunities are limited, to support creative workshops that help participants make items for sale. Run with the voluntary involvement of families, the association invites the community to contribute through donations, five-per-thousand tax allocations, volunteering and other fundraising initiatives.
