## Description

Airportmap is an open-source project that helps people explore airports and aviation locations around the world. Its searchable database covers more than 79,000 airports, airfields, air bases and heliports, with weather information available for locations worldwide. The project aims to make airport information easy to find and present it through a fast, straightforward website and interactive world map.

Visitors can browse locations alphabetically, search nearby facilities, view weather stations and check features such as active SIGMETs and live traffic. Airportmap also provides developer resources, database and embed options, statistics, and access to its GitHub repository. The site is available in English and German and offers light and dark display settings.
