AI Sandbox is an inclusive and innovative discovery space located in the heart of Nelson's CBD. Designed to demystify artificial intelligence, AI Sandbox offers free access to a variety of AI tools and hands-on resources for community members. Visitors are welcome to drop in or schedule sessions to learn about AI applications ranging from text and visual creation to analysis and audio processing. 

As a not-for-profit subsidiary of the Nelson AI Institute, AI Sandbox thrives on the passion and knowledge of its team, comprising around 20-30 volunteers, including 12 AI enthusiasts and experts. The organization’s mission is to empower the Nelson-Tasman community by fostering understanding and application of artificial intelligence, ultimately enhancing local prosperity and opportunity.
