## Description

Aitchison is a New Zealand brand specialising in direct seed drills and soil management equipment for pasture renovation. Established in 1970, it is a third-generation, 100% New Zealand family-owned business operated by Farmgear Ltd. The company focuses on environmentally sustainable zero-tillage seeding, helping farmers reseed or renew pastures while supporting efficient seed placement and strong germination.

Its best-known products include the GrassFarmer and Seedmatic seed drills. The 3000 Series GrassFarmer is designed for renovating existing pastures and working cultivated soils, while the 4000 Series Seedmatic offers a zero-tillage option. Aitchison drills use a distinctive sponge seeding system that distributes seed gently and accurately. It is used for sowing a range of crops and pasture mixes, including cereals, lucerne and brassicas.

Aitchison offers tine and disc drill options and serves customers through a nationwide dealer network that sells, services and supplies parts. The company also provides spare parts, technical advice, warranty registration and customer support, drawing on more than five decades of seeding experience.
