## Description

AI Understanding is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that provides free, plain-language AI education for the public. Its mission is to help people understand AI and make informed decisions about how it affects their lives. Core learning resources—including guides, quizzes, a glossary, and an AI tutor—are available without a paywall or account requirement, with content offered in 40 languages.

Learners can explore nine topic areas, from AI fundamentals, chatbots, and image generation to industry applications, technical concepts, companies, ethics, and policy. The organization also offers five structured courses for beginner, intermediate, and advanced learners, covering AI foundations, responsible use, workplace adoption, policy and society, and building AI systems. Students can practice with quizzes and may qualify for an AI education certificate by passing 50 quizzes at 80% or higher; certification is available from $25.

Beyond education, AI Understanding publishes daily AI news with transparent editorial standards and provides independently reviewed tool listings, comparisons, best-of lists, and pricing information.
