## Description

The Japan Esthetic Association (AJESTHE) is a professional organization representing estheticians in Japan. Established in 1972, it supports the development of the esthetic profession through education, professional standards, qualifications, and industry activities. The association reports that more than 100,000 estheticians are active in the field and highlights its comprehensive curricula and specialist instructors as part of its training heritage.

AJESTHE offers a range of career-related certifications, including credentials for estheticians, advanced practitioners, instructors, facial and body estheticians, hygiene managers, and socio-estheticians. Its educational services include workshops, professional development, newcomer training, instructor training, and e-learning courses. The association also supports accredited schools and registered teaching facilities, and provides information about membership and member services.

For consumers, AJESTHE offers a directory of registered salons that meet its standards, searchable by area and service menu. Its wider activities include esthetic events and competitions, social contribution initiatives, skin-care education through the Beauty Expert examination, and publications. The organization also shares guidance on unified voluntary industry standards and salon safety.
