## Description

African Journals OnLine (AJOL) is a renowned brand and the world's largest online collection of African-published, peer-reviewed scholarly journals. This Not-for-Profit organization, based in South Africa, aims to increase the visibility, access, and use of African research output to support quality African research and higher education. With over 650 partner journals from 37 African countries, AJOL covers a wide range of academic disciplines, including health, agriculture, and African studies. These journals undergo a rigorous assessment process, ensuring that they meet high publishing standards. More than half of the many thousands of full-text articles on the AJOL website are free to download. AJOL has been working since 1998 to address the accessibility issues faced by African-published research papers, providing a platform for African researchers and increasing global knowledge of indigenous scholarship. With millions of monthly website users from around the world, AJOL's impact on expanding scholarly communication within Africa and beyond is undeniable.
