## Description

Also Known As Africa (AKAA) is a prominent contemporary art and design fair centered around Africa. The 8th edition of this exciting event will be held at Carreau du Temple in Paris from October 20 to 22, 2023. AKAA provides a platform for artists and galleries to showcase their work and engage with a diverse audience. This year, under the artistic direction of Armelle Dakouo, a special emphasis is placed on the curatorial practice within the context of the fair and its market. Invitations have been extended to curators and artists to participate in projects, installations, and written contributions that examine curatorial practices and the issues they champion. Through this exploration, AKAA not only amplifies an artist's visibility but also contributes to the long-term success and impact of their career. Join us at AKAA for a captivating experience that celebrates the vibrant and dynamic art scene in Africa. Contact AKAA Bureau for more information and stay updated by subscribing to their newsletter.
