## Description

Aktion gegen den Hunger is a humanitarian organization dedicated to fighting hunger, malnutrition, and hardship around the world. With 47 years of experience, it works across 52 countries and regions and reports having provided assistance to 21.2 million people. Its teams respond to emergencies caused by conflict, natural disasters, disease outbreaks, and food crises, while also supporting long-term solutions that help communities build resilience.

The organization’s work includes nutrition and health services, access to clean water and sanitation, food security and livelihoods, psychosocial support, and emergency relief. It also invests in innovation and research, conducts political advocacy, and raises awareness about the causes of hunger, including conflict, climate change, poverty, and inequality. In Germany, its initiatives include the “Schools Against Hunger” education and sports program and the Human Rights Film Festival Berlin. Individuals, schools, companies, and foundations can support its work through regular or one-time donations, legacy gifts, volunteering, and campaigns.
