## Description

THE RAIN WORKERS is an organization focused on sexual education and women’s empowerment in African countries. It trains local experts to provide sexual health education in the languages spoken in their communities, helping make important information accessible and relevant. The organization’s work aims to enable women and girls to make informed, self-determined decisions about sexual behavior, family planning, and contraception. It also supports their ability to resist female genital mutilation and sexual violence, and to understand their rights.

Through its training and community-based education, THE RAIN WORKERS seeks to help knowledge take root and create opportunities for women and girls to thrive. The organization shares news and reports about its work, offers a newsletter, and provides teaching tools and branded merchandise through its shop. Supporters can contribute through donations, gifts made in someone’s name, or planned giving. Based in Vienna, Austria, THE RAIN WORKERS also publishes annual and financial reports and provides information about its educational approach and the impact of its work.
